Family portrait 1907 of the family of Elias and Emily Audi Debeeney. In the picture are five of their children: the eldest in back, Badia, from left to right, Aniseh, Najla, Ellen and Badi’. (They went on to have a total of nine children.)

Group photo taken at the Ramallah Friends Girls School 1889. In the upper right hand corner is Elias Audi Debeeney, dragomen (translator) for the foreigners, Just benerath him is Emily Aroumoanie, a six- year old teacher from Lebanon. The woman in Black beneath her is Hen’neh Audi Debeeney, Elias’ mother and a well-respected midwife.

 A woman’s meeting at the Girls Training Home (Later the Friends Grils School) 1908. Two of the women have been identified. The olkder woman at the far right with a cloth band around her headdress is Jen’n is Hen’neh Audi Debeeney.. The woman on the far left, in an embroidered Ramallah head shawl and holding a sleeping infant is Nijmeh Id’, one of her daughters. Nijmeh is the grandmother of Jad and Daoud Mikhail, the great grandmother of Hanan Ashrawi.

Mansur Audi Muhaweha family in 1915

This studio photo of the Mansur Audi Muhaweha family was taken in 1915. Pictured are from left to right: Khadra Mansur, seated Mansur Audi Muhaweha, standing Jiries Mansur, seating Subha Salah Mansur, standing their daughter in Law Nijmeh Salamey. Nijimeh just newly married and is only thirteen. Her husband, issa, was thirty years old had facial paralysis and did not wisgh to pose for the picture.
